Training Sessions

Total Racing Newcastle operate the following sessions every week through out the year. In the spring/summer months we also have informal (uncoached) regular Sunday morning group bike ride (around 3 hours). The club also offer open water swim session at Tynemouth which operate from June through until the end of August.

Tuesday (Seasonal)

6.30 – 7.30pm  Open Water Swim Training followed by optional run session Commencing in June and running through until the end of August we have open water swim sessions at Tynemouth Long Sands Beach. Meet here by Crusoes Cafe at the south end of the beach. This will be followed by a run session, probably along the beach for those that want to do a bit extra.

Tuesday & Wednesday

7.30pm – 8.30pm  Swim 8.30pm – 9.30pm  Indoor Bike/Run (Do not bring your bike, we use club equipment) At David Lloyd Leisure, Castle Farm Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, South Gosforth NE3 1SN. Tel: 0191 284 1275. If you are a not a member of David Lloyd Club, TR members can pay £5 entry on the evening (usually £21!)


Evening run session. 6.30pm Meet at Physiohaus, Jesmond. Usually c1hr coached session – be prepared for some high intensity effort.


8.00am – Bike Ride Approximate 3 hour ride in Northumberland. All abilities welcome. Meet in the car park at Ponteland Leisure Centre, Callerton Lane, Ponteland, NE20 9EG.
